In Accidental Sheriff retired FBI Special Agent Thomas T. Thomas was drafted to fill the remainder of the term of the Gitche Gumee County Sheriff who was found shot to death. When that term expired the new sheriff named Thomas as VERY Special Deputy. As such he mentored and assisted the department as new crimes unfolded. As the department became competent and confident the number of calls has diminished to a few requests for assistance and analysis in serious situations.
